Generous sponsors, gift contributors and auction participants made the Rotary Club of Hudson’s 34th annual Gala another success providing over $67,000 in gross revenues for the community. Bidding on major gifts was exciting as various excursions, professional services, golf outings and wine tastings were captured by enthusiastic competitive bidding.

Attended by 270 local citizens and dignitaries, the silent auction cocktail hour offered a wide selection of gifts to bid upon and delicious hors d’oeuvres to sustain bidders until the unveiling of a tasty steak and shrimp repast topped by a gourmet dessert.

Gala co-chairs Ron Strobl and Gail Royster were very pleased with the evening’s activities and thankful for the generous bidders who made it possible to support the worthy beneficiaries. Everyone enjoyed master of ceremonies Father Joe Boysel’s performance as he teamed up with expert auctioneer Dan Smith to entertain and cajole the crowd.

Rotary members once again proved that they are People of Action applying leadership to solving social issues, tackling community challenges and finding lasting solutions to the world’s systemic problems.
