Past Meetings
Pam Machuga, CVNP Ranger with Jim Lang
Pam Machuga did a fine job representing Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) explaining the various events and facilities available for our use there. From the Happy Days Visitors Center and their musical programs to the Farmers working within the park and selling their organic eggs and vegetables. She also brought us up to date with the the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) and the CVNP received encouraging news on March 23rd that the train could be safely re-routed between Peninsula and Akron. It was a very interesting and interactive program It's great to see somebody so excited about their job after 20 years of service! We are also happy to report that we have successfully reinstated live streaming with Hudson Community TV
..Please bring all Gala donation items (business donations and especially wine) to the next meeting. The Silent Auction and Raffle Items went live at 3:00 pm Monday, May 15. If you have guests invited and wish to sit together, please let Marilyn Orr know of your plans. We are down to the FINISH LINE!
..James Field won the 50/50 raffle but the big money is now approadhing $230 just waiting for you to win!
...Donations this month will be made to Hopewell, a therapeutic farm community located in Chagrin Falls. It treats people with bipolar disease and other type of mental challenges. They would like some activity items such as Bamboozled Board Game, a Drafting Easle and a Spikeboard Set. Combining our cash might be the best way to accomplish our goal.
