This Wednesday, February 1st, we will be continuing our year of Imagine-Rotary.   This will begin our month of topics focusing on Youth.  Thank you to Joe Avella for securing such interesting speakers.

Moses Wang is originally from Taiwan and teaches Chinese at Hudson High School and Hudson Middle School. .He is also an accomplished musician, playing piano, guitar and trumpet. He also composes songs to help his students to learn Chinese. The songs and music have enriched his life as well as improve the students’ experience in the classroom.  He will introduce student Kayli Rego.

Meetings this month

February 8:  Club Board of Director's Meeting

All meetings will be held immediately following the general session and any active Rotarian is invited to attend.

In February, we will be collecting donations to benefit Safer Futures-Portage County.  Safer Futures is the only shelter and resource center providing support, information, and advocacy to those affected by intimate partner violence in Portage County. They provide shelter services through a safe, confidential, supportive location for victims and children fleeing domestic violence. Over the years, their services have grown to include support groups, transitional housing, and outreach advocacy. In addition, they have Domestic Violence Specialists who are available 24/7 to answer confidential phone calls through our telephone support services.  Here's what they need:  Cleaning Supplies--Any and all--Spray bottle type Lysol, white vinegar, paper towels, toilet cleaner, etc.  And as always, cash is helpful!

Past Meetings

Phil Tobin offered the most unusual invocation last week when he read the National Hymn of Ukraine. It was a wonderful reminder of the bravery and courage of the Ukrainian people.
