Tour of the New Clubhouse at Ellsworth Meadows Golf Course
We will welcome Trent Wash who holds city responsibility for the Ellsworth Meadows Public Golf Course. It is truly a success story for our city.
Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club was originally a private golf course that was purchased by the City in 1997. The City purchased the course to preserve green space in the City and prevent the 300+ units of high-density housing that was being considered for that property. After the initial financial investment to renovate the original course, Ellsworth Meadows has grown to become a self-funding operation, with revenues up more than 50% since before the pandemic. The $2.7 million, 6,000-square-foot clubhouse was funded through bonds to be repaid with the course revenue. Hudson General Fund money was not used to support this construction.
The goal was to turn Ellsworth Meadows into a year-round destination with four Trackman golf simulators, a bar and dining area, an expanded pro shop, fireplace, patio areas and more. Other amenities include:
An expanded parking lot
A full commercial kitchen
A full-service bar and dining area
Indoor and outdoor fireplaces
A pro shop three times larger than the previous clubhouse
An outdoor patio space
A cart staging area
