Councilman Skylar Sutton is running for re-eleciton to the Ward 3 Council position.  Skylar Sutton is an IT professional, gearhead, hobby photographer, and Star Wars nerd. His passions include all things mechanical and technological. Skylar is the owner of a private software firm - SuttCo Enterprises LLC, and an apiary - Buzz Off, selling local honey and bees wax products.

He is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer with a major medical software firm. Previously, he has held employment with a industry leading tools and equipment firm, an international security systems firm, a global package and freight firm, and a software development firm specializing in medical surveying and mobile device development.

The oldest of three boys, Skylar grew up in Hudson and graduated from Hudson High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management (B.S. MIS) from the University of Akron where he  was inducted into Sigma Iota Epsilon - the national honorary and professional management fraternity and was named to the Dean's List.  He completed a Masters of Science in Information Science & Technology (M.S. IST), with a focus on Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Michigan.

Skylar resides in Hudson Ohio with his wife - Allison, and their two daughters - Avery and Elisa.  Unfortunately, a prior work committment will prevent Mr. Sutton from attending the Rotary Debate.

Candidate Chris Macchione has withdrawn due to health concerns.  

Michael Donovan has initiated a write-in candidacy.  Mike Donovan was born and raised in Danvers, Massachusetts and graduated from Danvers High school in 1984. He received a B.A. in Public Management from the University of Maine in 1988 and a master’s in public administration from Northeastern University in Boston in 1999.  He was elected to local office at age 21 in Massachusetts.

Mike has over 30 years’ experience in both Public and Private Sectors including 6 years working for Members of Congress. He has worked in industry and government relations at Progressive Insurance Corp since 2004. 
                                                                                                                                                                                 Mike and his wife Terri have seen all 3 of their children through the Hudson Schools. Mike served on the Board of the Hudson Soccer Association, has coached Kiwanis baseball and basketball and has volunteered with Hudson HEAT swim club and HHS swimming.
