Candidates for partial term Hudson City School Board
Matthew Clapper and Mark Dzurac are running for the balance of the term created by the resignation of David Zuro from the Hudson City School Board.
Matthew Clapper is a BS and MS graduate of John Carroll University and earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron Law School in 2006. Matthew has a graduate degree in physics and spent several years post-graduate school working in the field of engineering. His diverse technical background enables Matthew to speak intelligently and in-depth with inventors in many fields of technology, including semiconductor design and manufacture, general electronics and electronic controllers, wireless communication, artificial intelligence algorithms and implementations of robotic cognition, as well as mechanical systems for vehicles, power equipment devices and many others. He is a patent attorney associate with the Cleveland firm Wegman, Hessler and Valore.
Mark Dzurac obtained a BA from Kent State University majoring in political science. He served as a White House Intern during his collegiate experience. His work history focuses primarily on the field of project management and currently is employed as an Account Executive with Baypointe Technology in Richfield. He also has served as a Board Member of Hudson City Schools Foundation.
