The Rotary Club of Hudson is animated with preparations for the Hudson Rotary Foundation's Auction & Reverse RaffleSilver Anniversary. The Hudson Club is currently collecting auction items, and members are contacting businesses, organizations and individuals in the greater Hudson area for gift donations.
Excitement centers around this year's featured beneficiary,The Children of Ubumi,an orphanage in Zambia officially adopted by the City of Hudson. All of the auction proceeds donated to this non-profit organization will directly benefit the children. Other auction beneficiaries are the Hudson High School Scholarship Fund and Hudson Boy Scout Troop 321 (which assists the Rotary Club with the auction).
The auction's Silver Anniversary gala promises a grand celebration that includes a full-course dinner, an open bar and live music. Planting this year's event in the middle of May opens the opportunity for auction attendees to enjoy a gentle spring breeze on the patio of the Hilton Garden Inn (a new venue closer to home).
Tickets are only $75 per person and are available at The Learned Owl Book Shop, 204 North Main Street, Hudson, or from any Rotary Club of Hudson Rotarian. Corporate tables of ten can be reserved for $750. A printable Corporate Ticket Purchase Order is available through a link below the Rotary International logo at the bottom right of this page.
The Hudson Rotary Foundation is a non-profit 501[c]3, so donated auction items are fully tax deductible. Some donation suggestions are items your company manufactures or sells, certificates for goods or services, professional sporting event tickets, rounds of golf, concert and theatre tickets, use of condos or vacation resorts, gift baskets and artwork. Advertising for your company is available in the auction brochure distributed to every attendee. It is an inexpensive way to reach more than 300 potential customers while promoting your company's community and humanitarian spirit.
Rotary Club of Hudson members will find a printable copy of this year's Auction Donor Form at the bottom right of this page. An Auction Donor Form must be completed and attached to each donated item. Anyone unable to view or print the forms available through the links at the right, Rotarians, prospective donors, prospective advertisers or those seeking tickets may contact auction co-chairs Kathie Franks at 330-319-3193 or Connie Mroczkowski at 330-650-1971 or novelater@roadrunner.com.
