Each year, the Rotary Club of Hudson reviews presentations from Hudson High School seniors and awards scholarships for the Ohio college of their choice.

This year, 19 applicants presented their cases for the recognition and five were selected to each receive a $3000 scholarship.

Rotary members Hudson Councilman Dan Williams, Incoming Rotary President Kathryn Sines and Gala Co-chair Ron Strobl organized the evaluation process and choose the winners as follows:

  • Abigail Gore---who will study International Diplomacy at Kent State University
  • Mackenzie Hurst---who will study at Kent State University
  • Macy Lori---who will study Chemical Engineering at Ohio State University
  • Sofia Luevano---who will study Nursing at Kent State University
  • Tyler Richey---who will study Pre-Law at Ohio State University
Phil Herman, Superintendent of Hudson Schools, congratulated the winners and recognized that they each had prepared, through their studies and community service, to “go far beyond the doors of Hudson High School. Each student has demonstrated leadership, compassion, energy and a passion for learning that will carry them far in their chosen careers”.
